Food Art Experiments – Rothko

Been toying with the idea of translating works of art into desserts inspired by Caitlin Freeman’s  Mondrian cake at SFMoMA

Started with Rothko’s work thinking it would be simple, but it isn’t that easy after all – especially getting precise straight edges or even getting the vibrant colors without artificial coloring. Here’s my first attempt. Hope Rothko forgives me. 🙂
