Didn’t quite meet my expectation. The molten center was good but the encasing shell was a letdown. The image on the packaging made it look like the shell would be soft, but it turned out to be crunchy, and that conflict diluted the taste. It reminded me of something made out of ragi and tasted granular.  A big minus was that there was no waft of chocolate when you unwrapped the package. I’ve been a fan of pure magic series but this one was disappointing.

In my opinion, a softer crust would have complimented and accentuated the molten center. If you’ve tasted the Milano cookies from Pepperidge Farms, you’ll know that they have the perfect soft crunch followed by a melt in your mouth.

Perhaps, there are folks who like a crisp exterior and a molten center and it caters to that audience. But that doesn’t mean, one forgets to add a few drops of that chocolate essence and make the cookie smell wonderful.

Packaging is pretty neat…Liked the play of ‘key to magic’ on the logo. A cookie/chocolate key inside the box would have been nice – there seemed to be a slot inside but no key. Maybe the key to magic doesn’t come that easy!
