Chocolate cobbler and Kladdkaka, the Swedish chocolate cake

Chocolate cobbler

You get a fudge sauce and a cake in one bake.

I was fascinated by this method of baking and wanted to try it immediately. This involves  a coat of cocoa/sugar ‘sand’ and pouring in hot water and baking.

Ingredients

Brownie layer:

1/2 cup flour

1tsp baking powder

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 tsp coffee instant

2tbsp cocoa

5 tbsp milk (a little over 1/4cup)

5tbsp sugar

2tbsp butter melted

3/4tsp vanilla

Fudge layer:

2tbsp cocoa (1/8cup)

4tbsp sugar (1/4 cup)

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup hot water

(try reducing sugar (it was too sweet) and increasing the water so it has more gooey fudge)

Method

Make the brownie batter.

Then mix all the dry ingredients for the fudge layer.
