UX: Enterprise Data Catalog and Catalog Admin (2015-16)
Design Brief:
Design of a brand new product that allows the organizations catalog all their data and search for relevant information based on the metadata information.
Key use cases:
Data Steward, Data Architects:
- Knowing the inventory and the kind of data in the system
- Understanding data flow (where is my data and where is the data going and what is it related to). This is a compliance use case.
- Search: Search and find data and hand it over for offline governance process (usually data architects, data stewards hand over the information to security personnel, analyst )
Catalog Administrator: manage the administrative aspects of the Catalog.
